Cron Expression Parser

Parse a 5-field cron expression and preview its upcoming run times, instantly in your browser.

How to use the Cron Expression Parser

  1. Enter a 5-field cron expression, for example */15 9-17 * * 1-5.
  2. Choose how many upcoming run times to show.
  3. Click Run to see when the schedule will next fire, in your local time zone.

How the Cron Expression Parser works

A standard cron expression has five fields: minute (0-59), hour (0-23), day of month (1-31), month (1-12) and day of week (0-6, Sunday = 0). Each field can be * for every value, a list such as 1,15, a range such as 9-17, or a step such as */15.

The parser expands each field into the set of matching values, then steps forward minute by minute from now and reports the times that match all five fields. As in classic cron, when both day-of-month and day-of-week are restricted, a time matches if either one matches.
