PowerPoint to PDF
ExperimentalExperimental tool. The output may differ noticeably from what you'd get from the original application. See the FAQ below for details on what is and isn't preserved.
Experimental: this tool places each slide's text and pictures at their approximate position rather than rendering the slide like PowerPoint does - themes, backgrounds, shape styling, and non-picture shapes are not reproduced. See the FAQ below before relying on it.
Convert a PowerPoint (.pptx) presentation to PDF, one page per slide.
How to use the PowerPoint to PDF
- Upload the PowerPoint presentation (.pptx).
- Click Run to convert it.
- Download the PDF and check each slide. This tool is experimental, so see the FAQ for what is preserved.
How the PowerPoint to PDF works
The converter reads the presentation's slide size and, for each slide, finds the text boxes and pictures along with their position and size. It then draws them onto a PDF page of the same proportions, one page per slide.
It doesn't use PowerPoint's own rendering engine, so slide themes, master backgrounds, shapes such as arrows and SmartArt, tables, charts and animations aren't reproduced. It works best for simple text-and-picture slides; for anything more complex, export to PDF from PowerPoint itself.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this PowerPoint to PDF converter free?
- Yes. Convert .pptx files to PDF at no cost, with no account required.
- Why is this marked experimental?
- This tool doesn't use PowerPoint's own rendering engine. It reads each slide's text boxes and pictures and draws them at their approximate position on a blank page - it does not replicate PowerPoint's actual rendering pipeline (themes, layouts/masters, shape geometry, effects).
- What gets preserved?
- Text content from text boxes, and pictures, each placed at roughly their original position and size on the slide.
- What doesn't get preserved?
- Slide theme colors and fonts, slide master/layout backgrounds and background images, non-picture shapes (rectangles, lines, arrows, SmartArt), shape fills/borders/effects, tables, charts, and animations/transitions.
- Does this only work with .pptx files?
- Yes. Older .ppt files aren't supported - save or convert them to .pptx first.
