Pretty Print JSON
Indent and format JSON so it's easy to read, instantly in your browser.
How to use the Pretty Print JSON
- Paste your minified or messy JSON.
- Choose an indentation: 2 spaces, 4 spaces or a tab.
- Click Run to see the formatted, readable JSON.
How the Pretty Print JSON works
The tool parses your input with the browser's native JSON parser and then serializes it again with the indentation you choose, putting each key and array item on its own line. Because the data is fully parsed, invalid JSON such as trailing commas, single quotes or unquoted keys is reported as an error rather than reformatted incorrectly.
Key order and values are preserved exactly; only whitespace changes. To go the other way and shrink JSON, use the JSON Minifier.
