CSV to JSON
Convert CSV data to a JSON array of objects, instantly in your browser.
How to use the CSV to JSON
- Paste your CSV data, including the header row if it has one.
- If the first row is data rather than column names, tick "First row is not a header".
- Click Run to get a JSON array, then copy it into your code or API request.
How the CSV to JSON works
The converter parses the CSV following standard RFC 4180 rules: fields are separated by commas, and a field wrapped in double quotes can contain commas, line breaks and escaped quotes (""). Each row becomes a JSON object whose keys come from the header row.
Without a header, the tool generates column names automatically. All values are output as strings, because CSV has no data types; convert numbers or booleans in your code if you need them typed.
