How the Watermark PDF works
The tool draws your text on top of each page, centered and rotated by the angle you choose (45° gives the classic diagonal stamp). The color is applied with the opacity you set, so the content underneath stays readable; 20 to 30% opacity is usually subtle but clear.
The watermark is added as part of the page content, so it appears in every PDF reader and when printed. It deters casual copying but isn't tamper-proof, so for sensitive documents combine it with Password Protect PDF.
