How the Dice Roller works
Each die is rolled independently using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, which gives every face from 1 to 6 an equal 1-in-6 chance. The total is the sum of all dice.
With more than one die, totals in the middle are more common: with two dice, 7 can be made six ways, while 2 and 12 can each be made only one way. That's why 7 comes up about 17% of the time and snake eyes under 3%.
