How the Discount Calculator works
A percentage discount is a fraction of the original price taken off the total:
Discount = Original price × Discount % ÷ 100Sale price = Original price − Discount
So 30% off a 80.00 item saves 24.00 and leaves a sale price of 56.00. Note that two discounts applied one after the other are not the same as adding them: 20% off followed by 10% off is a 28% total discount, not 30%, because the second discount applies to the already reduced price.
